FAQ

Our Services

What services do you offer?

At Pearline Health, we focus on cleaning and whitening teeth. If you’d like a fluoride treatment with a cleaning, we can add that on too. Before your initial cleaning and every year after that, we’ll also do a Limited Exam to be able to provide you with the best ongoing care. Limited exams are not required for whitening-only appointments.

Does it really take 60 minutes?

Yes! When you don’t have to wait on the dentist or get bogged down in the traditional way things are done, you can be on your way to a healthier you in half an hour.

What if I need other things like a cavity filled or crown fixed?

The first step is a great cleaning. During the cleaning, our Clean Specialists will tell you about any visible issues they see. If you’re having an annual limited exam, our dentist will send you an email after your cleaning letting you know if they saw something concerning and that you need to see your general dentist.

What is a Limited Exam?

We take digital photos of your teeth and collect your health history. Before your initial visit and every year after that, our dentist will review the pictures and health history to make sure Pearline Health is the right fit for you.

Why do I have to get a Limited Exam every year?

Your health is our #1 priority. To be able to provide you with the best ongoing care, if you get your teeth cleaned at Pearline Health we need to periodically review pictures of your teeth and your health history to make sure that we continue to be the right fit for you. Limited Exams are not required for whitening.

Why do I have to still see my general dentist?

We focus on cleaning teeth. Although the limited exam can tell us whether Pearline Health is appropriate for your needs, you’ll still need to see your general dentist for a comprehensive exam and an evaluation for x-rays every year.

Why should I get my teeth cleaned every 3 months instead of 6 months?

We recommend every three months, at least. Your oral health is directly related to your overall health, so it’s good to keep your cleanings regular. And we’re making it easier and more affordable so you can do it more often. Click here to learn more.

I’m really afraid of dental work – can I get laughing gas?

We get it. One of our founders was afraid of going to the dentist for most of her life. The great thing about Pearline Health is there’s really nothing to be afraid of. No drills, no needles, no pain, and no unexpected bills.

Booking

How do I book an appointment?

Everything’s online. Just pick a date and time that works for you, and you’re all set.

What about paperwork?

You can complete all of our forms online and before your appointment. That way, all you need to do is walk in and get your teeth taken care of.

What do I do when I show up?

Once you arrive, you can check in on your phone and your Clean Specialist will greet you at the door and take you straight to your chair for your appointment.

Can I reschedule or cancel?

Yes! We understand things come up. That’s why you can reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before your appointment free of charge. If you reschedule or cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, we’ll have to charge you a late cancellation fee.

What if I’m late or miss my appointment?

We have transformed the dental cleaning and whitening experience so that you’re in and out in 30 minutes. To do that, we have to run on time. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, then we won’t have enough time to properly take care of you and therefore can’t see you that day. If you miss your appointment entirely, then we’ll have to charge you a no-show fee in the amount of the cost of your treatments.
Payment and Insurance

Do you take insurance?

Yes! We accept all PPO plans and will submit your insurance claims on your behalf. Unfortunately, we currently do not accept DMO insurance.

How do I know if I am covered?

We accept all PPO plans. If you have questions about your coverage, just give your insurance company a call.

I have dental insurance. Why do you need my credit card?

We’ll always bill your insurance first, but in case there’s any change in your coverage or if you’ve had more cleanings than your policy covers, we keep your credit card on file and only use it if we need to.
