Sahar Adasha

Sahar was born and raised in sunny Los Angeles. She graduated from West Los Angeles College in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She strives to promote optimal oral health and educate patients on effective dental hygiene practices. She believes that high-quality care should always be provided with kindness and a gentle approach. Her eagerness and dedication for patient care and dentistry has led her to build close patient-provider relationships. Beyond the office, she loves to spend time with her family, friends, dog, eat Persian food, and takes any chance to soak up the LA heat. Sahar’s twin brother, with whom she is very close, is enrolled in dental school, which further fuels her passion for the field.

Dr. Nicole Joo

Originally born in South Korea, Dr. Nicole Joo grew up in northern California where she graduated with honors in Biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific undergraduate college. She spent the next three years living and studying in San Francisco at the UOP Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry as part of a 6-year accelerated dental program where she received her dental degree.

Dr. Joo completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at UCLA after graduation where she was able to deepen her understanding of restorative dentistry and occlusion. During residency, Dr. Joo gained experience in comprehensive treatment planning, re-establishing bite support in patients with many missing teeth, treating medically complex cases, diagnosing and treating TMJ problems, as well as planning and placing implants.

Dr. Joo not only emphasizes delivering high quality dental work, but is also highly passionate about educating her patients on the importance of achieving and maintaining optimal oral health in order to motivate her patients. Dentistry remains an ever-changing field and Dr. Joo is eager to remain at the forefront of all new developing research and techniques by striving to learn everyday.

Apart from dentistry, Dr. Joo loves spending time with her dog, working out, swimming, and drawing. She also enjoys cooking and trying new recipes.

Dr. Alex Kalmanovich, DDS

Alex Kalmanovich, D.D.S practices general and cosmetic dentistry utilizing the newest technologies to provide customized dental care and emphasizing preventative dentistry. Dr. Alex, as he’s known to many patients, makes going to the dentist fun and exciting with his friendly and compassionate nature.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from UC Irvine, Dr. Kalmanovich earned his dental degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. After returning to Southern California, he established his practice in Laguna Beach and serves patients from all of Orange County and Los Angeles County. Dr. Alex is committed to continuing education and stays current with the latest techniques. He has completed courses in laser dentistry, endodontics, implants, and aesthetics.

Dr. Kalmanovich has a strong passion for education and was awarded the The Grosso Endowment for Promise as a Dental Educator. Dr. Alex enjoys giving back to the community by providing free oral health care services to children from low-income families during the month of February. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Orange County Dental Association. He has recently been selected as a Delegate for the Orange County Association.

He recently moved to Laguna Beach with his wife, Polina and two children. When away from the office, you can find him enjoying beautiful Laguna Beach and surrounding areas with his family, or playing basketball, swimming, and running on the beach.
